Body Spray
They are meant to be sprayed on the naked skin. They are made of water and alcohol (glycerin). It contains low concentrations of fragrance. The aroma does not last for a long time. It can be used several times a day. It does not stop what causes the odour but masks the odour.

There are two types of body spray. They are deodorant and antiperspirant. Deodorant body spray works on the bacteria or chemical process causing the odour on the skin. Antiperspirant body spray on the other hand blocks sweat pores. Both can be applied on the pulse point (point with high sweat glands) such as the armpit, palm, back of the knee, collar bone, wrists, back of ears, belly button and front of elbow.
It is best to apply it after bathing. A distance of six inch is suitable for spray except it is roll-on. Best use during the dry season as it is wrong to apply on wet skin.
Perfume
A perfume is to be sprayed on the clothes. This is because they have a high concentration of aromatic extract and oil. They contain 100 percent essential oils. Perfume comes in different concentrations with different names.
Parfum: this comes with the highest concentration of aromatic extract and oil of 20-30 percent. Some can last between 6-8 hours. That does not mean that the fragrance will no longer be on clothes for up to 24 hours.
Eau de parfum: this comes with a lower concentration of aromatic extract and oil of 15-20 percent. The fragrance can last on for 3-5 hours.
Eau de cologne: marketed in many parts of earth as men's perfume, it contains about 2-4 percent of aromatic extract and oil. It lasts for about 3 hours.
Eau fraiche: this is an instant one off perfume marketed as after shave freshener. It contains about 1-3 percent of aromatic extract and oil mix with water.

Both perfume and body spray can be used together. Both should have the same aroma because a mix fragrance will lead to multiple aroma. Body spray is best used after bath but perfume can be applied anytime. Two body spray of different aroma should not be used together because body pheromone affects how ingredients in fragrance react in the body.
Body spray only have a little amount of fragrance. This means that you will not smell nice to people around you but prevent body odour. Perfume is meant to get to people around you. Best applied on areas people get close to like the chest and underarms.
You will hear different names for different combination. Most marketers mix up these names all in a bit to sell their products. However, the body of the container usually has the correct name.
