Reporting At Your PPA And Documentation At NYSC Secretariat

Place of primary assignment (PPA): This is the name and address of the company or firm the CM will work for the next ten months.
CM details: this includes the CM name, age, call up number, state code, course of study, passing out day, etc.
Local government or zonal inspector: the name and contact details of the local government inspector (LI) or zonal inspector (ZI) attach to the CM is there for the PPA or CM to interact with at all times throughout the period of service.
Terms of service: a list of bye laws governing the programme mostly directed at the PPA for them to abide by.
Comment: a detachable slip where the PPA indicates acceptance or rejection of the CM.

All CM are expected to leave the camp in that day to their various PPA. However, it is advised to go to a place to stay first before embarking on that. After dropping off your luggage at the house you can stay for some days (religious house in most cases), then proceed to your PPA.
Using Google maps or asking people around, you should be able to locate the place in no distant time. Be careful how you spend on the road. Gone are those days CM are taken care of by host communities. These days, the economy is so hard that every person out there wants a share of the allowance.
Make about four copies of the posting letter. Go straight to the human resource manager office or the head of administration or the zonal manager. Submit two copies. You will either be accepted or rejected.
Acceptance Letter
They will sign and date it. They will comment on the two letter if you are accepted. The signed posting letter and letter of acceptance will be given to you with your name, call up number and state code. You may be required to sign before collecting the original letter of acceptance.
Rejection Letter
Those who are rejected will be given the second posting letter. They will comment rejected on both letters and keep one. Along with the letter, they will issue a rejection letter.
To avoid getting another rejection letter, go to a firm in need of a CM. If they need your services, they will issue you a request letter. Even if you could not get any letter from any firm, proceed to the office of the LI or ZI.
Write an application letter for reposting to the state coordinator, NYSC through the LI or ZI. State the reason for the reposting. There is always a sample at the office to copy and edit. Make sure your name, call up number and state code is included. No need of typing.
Attach with the letter is your posting letter, letter of rejection and if gotten request letter from another firm. The LI or ZI will scan and send the documents to the state Secretariat for onward processing.
If you are reposted, you can only print it out through your dashboard. Visit your dashboard, download and print out the new posting letter. Follow the process above and collect your acceptance letter.
Documentation At Local Government Secretariat
For CM redeployed from other states, they will do documentation at the NYSC State Secretariat. For the others, go to the LI or ZI office to get the documentation form. Most business center around will have it. Fill it and attach a passport photograph with it. Get an office flat file and put the form inside. Attach a passport photograph to the front.
Make three copies each of the posting and acceptance letter. Place the three posting letters under the form. Now put the original acceptance letter under the other documents with the other two copies. Use a perforator and attach them using the perforator rope. At the front of the office flat file, the secretary will label it for you to fill. They will indicate the following data for you to fill;
- State code
- Name
- Call up number
- Email address
- Phone number
- House address
- Bank account details (name of bank, name of account, account number)
- Course of study
- Community development service (CDS) group and day of the week
After filling these details, place all of them inside a water resistant transparent file. Submit it to the secretary of the LI or ZI.
The secretary will look at the documents and if it is in order will give you the book of life. You are expected to fill in the book exactly the information that is filled at the front of the office flat file. At this stage, you will be told when to come for your CDS and dress code. This is when your official CDS starts.
Go back to your PPA for job description and work schedule. You can then proceed to give them your skills acquisitions and entrepreneurship development (SAED) programme and when you will not be available.

ReplyDeleteIt is not a must that you should report on the day of leaving camp. You have to settle down your accommodation to stay at least for some days before proceeding to your PPA. Let me quizzed this in. Secure a temporary accommodation. If you PPA reject you and you got accepted in another PPA far away from your temporary accommodation, you can easily relocate without spending much. That is why it is good to stay at the official hostels for CM until you are certain your PPA wants you. Then you can search for a decent accommodation that is suitable to your taste and affordable

We were told to keep checking our dashboards until there's a change in the State code and PPA.
Since last week till now, there hasn't been any change.

No problem. A week is too short to expect your posting. It can take up to three months. In some worst cases, 9 months. Just relax. Better still, find something doing for the meantime. It won't affect your allowance

DeleteHi DrugXpert, I have a question. I belong to this 2021 Batch A stream 2 set. I tried to process relocation in camp but it didn’t work out. So on the last day of camping (07/06/21), I was give my PPA letter to go resume in the same state I camped, but I didn’t go because I don’t have intention of serving in that state. I came home (another state) to retry relocation. Up till today (17/06/21), my relocation status is still pending and the person doing it said I should still hold on. My question now is that if at all the relocation does not work out, hope it won’t be too late to go back to the original state of deployment to do documentation (Meanwhile I’ve spent almost 2 weeks at home now)? Or is it advisable to go do documentation in the original state - hope this won’t spoil the chances of relocating to my preferred state?

ReplyDeleteYou will not receive your next allowance if you fail to do clearance for the first month. And you can't do clearance without documentation. If you fail to do clearance after three consecutive months, your account will be suspended pending a trial. You may end up loosing the service period and be remobilse for the batch

ReplyDeleteYou can't change PPA without informing NYSC. You can get rejection letter from your PPA which will be needed by NYSC. If you can get your letter from your desired PPA, you can drop it along with your rejection letter which will be accepted and increase your chances of getting the new PPA

DeletePlease I was initially rejected @ PPA because they had no accommodationto offer and I really loved the place. They said they would take me back if I could get an accommodation. I had to take their decision because I was a stranger in Kano state, I can't even hear what they are saying because Hausa is like the all and all here, trying to rent an apartment was really difficult for me. I took the rejection letter to my LGI, who counter signed it and instructed me to go to the NYSC state Secretariat. Of which I did and the Mobilization officer posted me to another local govt and another PPA entirely. I did not report to my new LGI first, I went straight the new PPA, and I must tell u the place is located in a village, completely terrible, and the accommodation they gave me is like a hut. Every cell in my body is regretting my decision right now. This new PPA is refusing to reject me. I have refused to give them my Posting letter so they don't have my details. Now my question is, I have a copy of my previous posting letter that is untouched, I am thinking of going back to my previous PPA, I am 99% sure they will take me. My challenge is how am I going to meet my new LGI with the acceptance letter from a PPA in another Local govt, or how am I going to meet my previous LGI with a PPA letter from an establishment that previously rejected me that he counter signed?

You go to your new lgi and make enquiry on how to get rejection letter. I doubt you will get it this time. The mistake have already been made. You could have beg one of the staffs at your first PPA to help you look for a decent cheap accommodation. Is like you went out in search of it yourself

If you keep waiting, you may not get paid. You have to go to the lgi where you were posted to and explain to him. That is the only way to hasten the matter and get your allowance. It is not everyone that get relocation. Besides, did you go through somebody or you applied for relocation yourself?

The rejection letter must be sign and stamp by the PPA and must come with their letter head. If not, NYSC will reject it.
DeleteWhen you take it to NYSC, it must be stamped to show that it has been acknowledged.
You don't need to. But you can get a letter from any PPA of your choice and take it to your current LI for processing

DeleteYou need rejection letter from your PPA. If you are able to get it, you can apply for a new ppa stating very clearly your residential address. It will be easier if you can get a request letter from another firm in your area that want CM and submit all g with the rejection letter

ReplyDeleteAs long as the documentation falls within the 21 days window period, you are safe. Spill over the relocation will automatically cancel on your NYSC dashboard

ReplyDeleteYes you can request. Approval is subject to NYSC. First you need a rejection letter from your current ppa which you have to take to your NYSC LI. Submit it along with your request letter from the other ppa. It will be sent to NYSC state secretariat and process. If approve, congratulations. If not, you will have to resume in another Ppa in that LGA

DeleteGood morning, please I don't even know how to go about it, I redeployed based on marital ground from Osun to Oyo because my husband supposed to be in oyo but things change and he's now back to Kano and my PPA just show up in the midnight.... and am sick presently in kano, so I told my husband to go to NYsc sectariat in kano to let them know am not fit presently, they told him to get in touch with my LGI....so am thinking if it's possible for me to relocate back to Kano without me resuming to my PPA or I don't know what to do.. please help me
ReplyDeleteAs they suggested, go to your LGI and explain. If that fail, you may need to cancel your programme and start all over if you must serve in the state your husband live
DeleteGood morning, please I relocated to Rivers State and I have done documentation on 30th of August 2021, I was told to be checking my dashboard as regards to my PPA, up till now no effect and on the clearance I'm seeing September status as absent. what could be the solution to this? hope it's not affecting me?

ReplyDeleteClearance is on group CDS days. That last for 7 days. Failure to do it within those days gives you a last chance of doing it on grace period. This period begin on the 8 and ends on the 10 of 4he beginning of every month

ReplyDeleteIt takes time. Sometimes months. The idea to check at a cafe is reasonable. Sometimes, the posting does not show in mobile device. If you have any laptop, check with it

Sometimes, PPA don't show up in mobile browser or show up on time. Check with your laptop or go to a cafe. But you should have gone to the secretariat just to show your face to the LGI. For the first mo the, it won't be a problem. However, failure to do clearance three consecutive months will automatically lead to NYSC service year cancellation. And if you miss three clearance in a service year, your service year may be extended. Be guided

ReplyDeleteYour options are complicated. Your first option is to get rejection letter from the authority of your PPA and submit it to your LGI. If that did not work out then try option B. Go rogue and wait for query from the authority of your PPA. They will send you back to your LGI for misconduct and how they cannot stand you again. You automatically get a new ppa. However, since this second option is bad in the eyes of the law, your LGI may recommend you be sent to a worst PPA
DeleteGood afternoon sir, I'm relocated corper posted to Federal College of Education but on getting their, the school said no allowance nor accommodation, I told them to reject me but the secretary said federal College doesn't reject and he said, he will call me in 2wks time for my acceptance letter and posting letter due to many offices the letter will pass through. I told my LGI to repost me and she insist but the school she posted me to is worsen. Can I collect my posting letter and acceptance letter from the college of education and use it for my documentation and neglect the one I reposted to?
ReplyDeletePosting is not done by your LGI but the state coordinator. Your details with the state coordinator stands. You can't submit your old PPA acceptance when you already have a new Ppa

ReplyDeleteI redeployed to ogun and was posted to a Secretariat last week, I want to report there tomorrow, on getting to the cafe the date on the PPA letter has changed to 13th instead of 9th and the E changed to R.
But it's still the same place.

What was the reason for relocation? It can take some time. Just be patient. If you did the relocation legally, you can consult with your LGI

Although I didn’t seek permission, so I was absent for September. Is it possible to do my documentation in October when clearance is going on as September has ended already. DeleteAfter relocation, I reported immediately at the new state and I was asked to keep checking my dashboard for PPA letter but it's been more than a week plus and still nothing and meanwhile other states has been recieving theirs even people I reported before them so what should I do if I didn't get ppa after the 21 days?
