Choosing The Gender Of Your Children Naturally

Most young couples I know want to give birth according to a particular formula or format. You will hear something like, 'my first child should be a boy, the second a girl while the last should be another boy.' The next thing they say is it is God that gives children so let's just pray and hope it happen that way. At the end, they get what they produce and in most cases not what they bargained for.
Why couples like some gender of their children
Choosing your child sex
Another set of couples who this post may be directed at are those ones who already have a set of gender but want a mix. It could be having boys already but need a female to spice up the home. No matter the situation, here comes a theory that have been shown to work by many who follow the guidelines.

Gunning For A Gender

Pregnancy is the fusion of one egg from the woman and one spermatozoa from the man. Sperm and eggs all have one chromosome. Sperm have chromosome X or Y but female chromosome is X or X. During fertilization, one chromosome from the male come with one chromosome from the egg. At the end, the result is either XX, XY, XX or YX. The combination XX leads to the formation of a female child. The combination of XY or YX will produce a male child. Since it is only the man that carries the Y chromosome, one can say a man determines the sex of a child.  So there is a little natural method of choosing which combination should go.

There are several factors that determine the number of sperms with Y chromosome than X chromosome produce in a man. Hereditary is a major factor. A man who comes from a family with many female children may end up with a greater proportion of X chromosome in his system than Y chromosome. Other factors are men who abstain from sex from a long time such as during war will produce more male Y chromosome. After world war one and two, there was two fold increase in male birth. This was attributed to abstinence by men from sex during the period of war. The theory is not fully understood.
Y chromosome carrying sperm are very agile and active. When it is inside the vagina, it moves (swim) faster than sperms carrying the X chromosome. This is because it is small. It will get to the ovum first before the sperm with X chromosome gets there. But if after getting there and there is no egg to fertilize, it will die off after some hours. That is because it has a very short lifespan. It's small body size did not carry enough energy with it. This is unlike the X chromosome that swim very slow with enough energy store that will survive for days as much as 5 days if every other condition is favourable. They are big.
What the above paragraph is saying is that when a woman is ovulating or close to ovulation, the male Y chromosome have a greater probability of getting to the ovum first before the female X chromosome. But in a case the ovulation is days to the day the sperm gets inside the woman, the Y chromosome will die off while the X chromosome will survive until the day the egg is release and does fertilise it.
So, for a couple looking for a male child, the best time is the day of ovulation. As for those who are gunning for a female child, they should aim all sexual activity to be days before the day of ovulation. Couples can learn how to predict the day by reading this article below for more information on that.

Tips

  • The best time to give it a try for female child is two days to the day of ovulation. That way the Y chromosome carrying sperm must have died. They should avoid any sexual activity after that day until she is confirmed to be pregnant. Having sex during ovulation will reduce the probability of a female child as there will be competition between the two chromosomes carrying sperm. From the new Y that just came in with the X chromosomes that survive from previous sex. As for those going for a male, they should avoid sex until she is ovulating. This is because sex earlier in her fertile period will have seen X chromosome gets to the fallopian tube waiting for the egg while the Y chromosome have die off when there is no egg at that time. Having sex on the day of her ovulating makes the Y chromosome sperm gets to the egg on time before X chromosone. Also, sex days before the day of ovulation will make sperm carrying X chromosomes to be waiting for the egg. When the Y chromosome sperm comes, there will now be a competition between them. The buttom line is couples should avoid sex days leading to ovulation if they want a boy child or avoid it during Ovulation if they want a female child.
  • The vagina environment matters a lot. The pH of the vagina plays a major role. The pH on its own is affected by many factors such as food consume, microorganism, etc. An alkaline vagina favours X chromosome and increase it survival time to six days. On the other hand, an acidic pH favours Y chromosome and increase it survival time to three days. Opposite of this is a lower survival rate. To adjust this, use acid containing douches to make the vagina more acidic. On the other hand, use baking soda to make it more alkaline.
  • Another tip is viscous vagina make it difficult for X chromosome sperm to move fast. To increase the viscosity and prevent X chromosome, use lubricant but reduce viscosity if you want the opposite.

Note: there are instances women give birth to twins, boy and girl. This happens when the two follicle release egg thesame month. The two may not be release same day so the fertilization takes place on two different days. So when you are targeting a female using days before ovulation, the male Y chromosome sperm may have been released and pregnancy is very possible. Never heard of identical twins boy and girl. They are always of two sexes. Identical twins always come from same egg and of same sex. Non identical twins of different sexes come from different eggs with different sperm.
