Difference Between Lonart And Lonart DS
Lonart is an antimalarial. It contains artemether and lumefantrine. It is made in India by bliss GVS pharma limited founded in 1984. Lonart is marketed in Nigeria by greenlife pharmaceuticals and was introduced in 2006.

Difference Between Lonart And Lonart DS
Lonart comes in different dosage forms with different strengths for different age groups. Lonart syrup comes in a powdered form to be reconstituted into a 60 ml solution.

The tablet comes in 24, 18, 12 and 6 tablets of 20/120mg artemether and lumefantrine each and 80/480mg each of 6 tablets of the same active pharmaceutical ingredient (API).
Lonart containing 80/480 mg of artemether/lumefantrine is called lonart DS. The DS means double strength. However, lonart is just the name for all the antimalarials.

Lonart containing 24 tablets is referred to as lonart by 24. Lonart contains 18 tablet is referred to as lonart by 18. Lonart with 12 tablets is called lonart by 12 and lonart containing 6 tablets is referred to as lonart dispersible. Dispersible tablets can dissolve in water to produce a syrup or sweet solution. Lonart with dry powder for suspension or reconstitution is called lonart suspension.
