How To Predict Ovulation Day And Fertile Period

Most young girls care less when they ovulate or when their fertile period will be. Their main concern is when their period will be. But the whole story change when they become active sexually. They shift major focus to when they can conceive. To them, it is like a rocket science. But today, we will see all the major signs a woman can use to predict to some reasonable degree days of ovulation. It help along especially when husband who stay far away and wants to get their wives pregnant can use any of these and plan when to visit instead of random visit.
Ovulation is the point mature egg is released from one ovary. The egg then make a short journey to the fallopian tube waiting to be fertilized by a sperm. The egg last a period of 12-24 hrs. A cycle of a woman is from one period to another. Within this period, she must ovulate. Different women have different cycle length. The 28 days period is the most common. Some women have less around 22 daysvwhy some get up to 34. Within a woman, the period changes  slightly every month. This  could be due to environmental factors, drugs, food, etc. Average cycles give better prediction than a single one so a woman should take note of this for at least three months before having a random day.
To calculate it, the first day of the period is noted as day one. The last day to the beginning of the next period is noted as the last day. That is to say if period starts on the 1st of September and the next period starts on the 29th of September, the cycle is then 28 days. This is because her cycle began on the 1st and ends on the 28th if September. To get the day ovulation occured, subtract 14 days from 28. This gives us the 14 as the day of ovulation. The reason why 14 was use is because period occur average after 14 days from the day of ovulation. However, more studies are coming up to dispprove this that some ovulation occur days different from the 14 days. But as of now, 14 is till the standard. Using the first example, if the second period starts on the 1st if October, that means the first period ended on the 30th of September. Subtracting 14 from 30 will give 16. That means day 16 was the day ovulation occured. Simple right?

Cervical Mucus

Cervical mucus changes every day in one cycle. This requires everyday observation to be able to detect the particular type of change you seek. On the day of ovulation, it is sticky, slippery and wet. There is also a colour, odour and texture change. But so many circumstances affect this result.

Basal Temperature

Right before ovulation, women's body temperature rises slightly and remain until next period. Unfortunately, the slight increase cannot be picked by regular clinical thermometer. Also, several factors affect reasons such as drugs (paracetamol for fever) can reduce body temperature.

This may sound strange to you but is for real. The results are 99% accurate if use properly. There are about there of them where two make use of urine but the other use saliva. The test kit that measure using urine measures the amount of Luteinizing Hormone (LH) of which an increase is indicative of ovulation. On the other hand, the saliva test kit measure the amount of estrogen in the saliva and an increase indicate ovulation is going on. When To Start Testing

To be able to know the best time to start doing these test,  it is good to be able to predict the actual day of ovulation using calendar  method. If the calendar predicted that ovulation will take place on the 14th of September, it is better to start testing from on the 10th of September until the result shows up positive or until the next period. This way, materials are not wasted. Also saves time.

Fertile Period

The febrile period are days leading g to ovulation. These are days a woman can get pregnant even when she has not yet ovulated. The reason is simple. Spermatozoa survive up to 5 days in a woman's body when all conditions are favourable. That means if a woman ovulate on the 14th of September after having sex on the 10thbof September, there is high probability she will be pregnant. From on the 10th of September down through 14th of September is termed her fertile period.
