Nolvadex versus (vs) Clomid: which is better for male fertility
Clomid

The administration of anti-oestrogens is a common treatment currently tested in most countries. This is because anti oestrogens interfere with the normal negative feedback of sex steroids. This happens at the hypothalamic and pituitary levels in order to increase endogenous gonadotropin-releasing hormone secretion from the hypothalamus and FSH and LH secretion directly from the pituitary. In turn, FSH and LH stimulate Leydig cells in the testes, and this has been claimed to lead to increased local testosterone production, thereby boosting spermatogenesis with a possible improvement in fertility.

Nolvadex Vs Clomid

Individually, both drugs showed some level of activity on testosterone level. Further trials failed to show an increase in pregnancy level compared to placebo.

Nolvadex and clomid have a lot of side effects. However, the majority of these side effects are minor. But men using Nolvadex and clomid and wanting a baby may have to think twice.
