Manufacturer

Addyzoa is made by charak pharma Pvt. Ltd., India. It is marketed in Nigeria by fidson healthcare plc, Nigeria. Clomid is manufactured by global napi pharmaceuticals, Egypt under licence from sanofi aventis, France.

Composition

Addyzoa contain 6 herbal extracts all of which combines to improveale fertility. They are Mucuna pruriens and Withania somnifera. Others are Withania somnifera, Tinospora cordifolia and Emblica officinalis.

Clomid contains clomiphene citrate, a non-steroidal fertility medicine. It causes the pituitary gland to release hormones needed to stimulate ovulation (in women), and increase testosterone level and improve sperm count (in men).

Indication And Use

Addyzoa was claim to improve sperm count, motility and shape. Clomid exerts its effect on spermatogenesis by raising the endogenous serum FSH, LH and testosterone levels to initiate and maintain gametogenesis

Side Effect

Addyzoa did not return any side effects in a research. However, Clomid resulted in tenderness of the pectoral muscle, irritability, acne, acceleration of prostate cancer growth (if cancer is already present) and changes in vision that are caused by a swelling of the pituitary gland (rare). All these are reversible though. High doses of Clomid can actually have a negative effect on sperm count and motility.

Addyzoa Versus Clomid: Which Is Effective

There was improvement in the sperm count of approximately 94% men, after 3 month and almost 99% men after 6 months of treatment with addyzoa. The results with Clomid showed similar results. Unfortunately, Clomid was not as effective as addyzoa.

Addyzoa And Clomid Together

There is no single research on combining addyzoa and Clomid together for male fertility. Considering that one is herbal and the other is non steroidal drug, both may be suitable together. However, some herbal medicines do interact negatively or positively with medicine.
