How To Unseal A Community Pharmacy Seal By NAFDAC Or PCN
Community pharmacies are shops regulated by the pharmacists council of Nigeria (PCN) and national agency for food and drug administration and control (NAFDAC). A visit from their team to inspect the premises should not be a scary thing. However, an infringement on any of the law will mean one of two things; warning to change or sealing of the pharmacy.

What does this mean? Warning means that the pharmacy can carry on operations but must adhere to the warning instructions. If an inspector team discovers that the toilet or the pharmacist office is dirty, they can just issue a warning to clean it up.

Sealing of the premise means that it should not be open to the public. They usually place their tape over the premise. There are many reasons a pharmaceutical premises can be sealed.
Unsealing A Community Pharmacy
It is a very simple process when you want to unseal a community pharmacy shop. However, it requires some funds. If you are not aware of the reason why the premises were sealed, go to their office and ask for the reason. Each offense carries a charge. Find out the charge and make payment to the appropriate channel. A review of your application will be made by them. Things can get a little bit more complicated if you want to choose the other part, court. This path is risky especially if you actually broke the law. Going ahead on this lane exposes you to expenses. PCN and NAFDAC are fighting you with federal funds. The time the court proceeding is going on may mean your community pharmacy will be under lock and key except the court grants an early injunction to operate pending the final judgement. And if the case goes against you, you will pay litigation and may never get a licence to operate again. Choose wisely
The process is the same for both PCN and NAFDAC. But the charges are different. You only have to pay to the agency that seals the premises. However, stay with the law to avoid this path. It is not an interesting experience.
