Not All Women Bleed After Having Penetrative Sex For The First Time

Bleeding from the vagina after penetrative sex for the first time is not test for virginity. If blood comes out, it does not mean that the girl was a virgin. If it does not come out, it does it mean the girl have had penetrative sex before. There are so many reasons a girl who have never had penetrative sex don't bleed after having it. Also, there are reasons a girl that have had penetrative sex before bleed after having another. To start with, let us look at the female reproductive system anatomy.

Anatomy Of Vagina

The vagina is covered with a lining called the hymen. There is no function of this hymen. The shape and size varies from one girl to the other. It is flexible but does not cover the entire entrance. It allows the period to flow pass. Very few female have hymen that completely covers the vagina. Such a condition requires surgery to correct it. Some girls are not born with this hymen too.

Why Some Girls Bleed During First Penetrative Sex

When the girl is having penetrative sex for the first time, the penis can destroy or break the hymen. When it happens, she will bleed. Sometimes, the penis may only break the hymen a little. Another penetrative sex can break the remaining portion causing another bleeding. But rarely will it happen again for the third time.

Losing virginity and bleeding

Another cause of vagina bleeding is health conditions or dry vagina. Some disease can cause vagina bleeding while a dry vagina during sex can lead to vagina bleeding.

Why Some Vagina Don't Bleed On First Sex

The penis can glide past the hymen. This is because not all girls have hymen that covers a large portion of the vagina but just a bit. And when the hymen is not there, there won't be any vagina bleeding after the first time of having penetrative sex. Absence of hymen happens when a lady is not born with it or loses it to physical activities.

Things That Can Destroy Hymen

The hymen can be destroyed. If it happens, the vagina may bleed. A d when it happens, it may lead to mild pain and bleeding. The bleeding is not like period but like spotting in-between period. After it has been destroyed, penetrative sex may not lead to vagina bleeding.

The following can lead to destruction of the hymen;

1. Horse riding

2. Bicycle riding

3. Tampoon

4. Sex toys and finger

5. Etc

Note:

I avoided the use of the term 'virgin' in this post except in the introduction. This is because the term means different things to different cultures and persons. Some people believe that a virgin is someone who have never had one penetrative sex before but some put it as someone who have never have any form of sexual activity like oral and anal sex before.

When comes down to it, virginity is a social construct, not a biological reality — and unless you’ve very recently had sex, a doctor won’t be able to tell the difference between a vagina that’s had sex and a vagina that hasn’t.
