Glomerulonephritis is the inflammation of the tiny blood vessels in the kidney. These tiny blood vessels are called glomeruli. There are millions of them. They filter urine removing protein and other useful substances and allowing waste to go out of the body. When the glomeruli is damaged as in glomerulonephritis, it can no longer remove waste and excess fluid from the body efficiently. Also, it allows important substances such as blood and protein to be excreted from the body. Types Of Glomerulonephritis There are two types of glomerulonephritis. Some books put it at three.
