Dispersible tablets (DT) as defined in European Pharmacopoeia are uncoated or film coated tablets containing active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) intended to be dispersed in water before administration giving a homogeneous dispersion. They disintegrate either rapidly in water to form stabilized suspension or disperse instantaneously in the mouth to be swallowed without the aid of water.
