Composition Of Danacid Tablet

Each tablet contains:

Magnesium Trisilicate BP 250 mg

Dried Aluminum Hydroxide B.P. 120 mg

Peppermint Flavor

Actions

Both magnesium trisilicate and aluminum hydroxide buffer the hydrochloric acid produced in the stomach. The net effect of antacid action is the reduction in gastric acidity and reduction in pepsin activity

Indications Of Danacid Tablet

Compound Magnesium Trisilicate is indicated for the management of hyperacidity heartburn, dyspepsia, pulliculter disease and reflux oesophagitis.

Dosages Of Danacid Tablet

1-2 tablets after each meal and at bedtime. The frequency of dosage may be increased depending upon the severity of symptoms.

Side Effects Of Danacid Tablet

Antacids are generally well tolerated. Constipation and diarrhea may occur in some cases.

Contraindications

There is no contraindication for the use of antacids except in kidney disease.
