Benefits Of Jobelyn
An herbal-based nutritional supplement containing the leaf sheaths of the plant Sorghum bicolor, with potential antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, chemo preventive and immunomodulating activities. Sorghum bicolor supplement contains various phytochemicals, including phenolic acids and polyphenols such as proanthocyanidins.
Sorghum bicolor supplement is particularly rich in 3-deoxyanthocyanins, such as luteolinidin and apigeninidin, and appears to induce apoptosis and inhibit cell proliferation in cancer cells through the stimulation of various apoptosis promoter genes and the down regulation of certain apoptosis inhibitor genes. Sorghum bicolor is commonly known as millet and has been used in African traditional medicine for treatment of several diseases over a hundred years ago.

No sugar, starch, salt, soy, yeast, wheat or milk. No preservatives, artificial colors or flavors.

Sorghum bicolor leaf powder 625 mg
Other ingredients: vanilla, sodium CMC, citric acid.

Dosage And Administration Of Jobelyn
Dosage Of Jobelyn Capsule
1-4 capsules to be taken with portable water up to 3 times daily.
Dosage Of Jobelyn Suspension
2 teaspoons twice or thrice daily.
Preparation Of The Suspension
To make 100 ml of suspension, add portable water up to the neck of the bottle. Invert and shake the bottle until all the powder is dispersed.
Warnings On Capsule
1. It is advisable to take a lot of water or fruit juice when administering Jobelyn.
2. Pregnant and lactating women should please consult their physician before the use of Jobelyn.

Warnings On Suspension
1. The powder should be stored below 25°C. The suspension should be used within 5 days of preparation and stored in a cool place, preferably in a refrigerator.
2. Shake well before taking each dose. Not recommended for Pregnant Woman, Nursing Mothers and Children below 6 years.
Note: Jobelyn in the capsule form is recommended for children above the age of 5 years. Special powder sachet to be reconstituted in water is recommended for children under the age of 5. Alternately, the content of a capsule can be reconstituted in 120ml of water and given to children at the rate of 15ml (three times a day) over the course of 2 days. Jobelyn is being successfully administered to pregnant women. Reports from medical doctors claim that it has been a substitute for blood transfusion in cases of pregnant women who have low hemoglobin.
Jobelyn And Weight Gain
It increases appetite, assisting in weight gain, and maintains the general well-being of the patients.
Jobelyn For Ulcer
It does not cure peptic ulcers. Although due to its anti-inflammatory properties, it can help in ulcer healing.
Jobelyn For Hypertension
There are no clinical trials using Jobelyn for hypertension. However, there are available clinical results on rats in heart related conditions. The results of this investigation showed that Jobelyn improved neurological deficits induced by bilateral common carotid artery occlusion via inhibition of oxidative stress, neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration. These findings further support the ethnomedicinal application of Jobelyn as a therapeutic agent for the management of patients with ischemic stroke.
Jobelyn And Fertility
Oxidative dress is one of the causes of infertility in both male and females. Jobelyn can reduce oxidative stress. Unfortunately, that is not the only cause of infertility. So therefore, Jobelyn alone may not be effective in treating infertility. And there is no clinical research to support its fertility claim yet.

Jobelyn A Blood Tonic
Data suggests that consumption of Jobelyn contributed to improved hemoglobin levels. This increase was noticed within 6 weeks and continued into 12 weeks even after it stopped. Although this research was conducted in HIV patients, it shows that it may get similar or even better results in other categories of users.
Jobelyn And HIV
Several studies of Jobelyn on HIV show that there was a massive leap in CD4 cell count. This was within a space of 6 weeks. Users also benefited from increased red blood cells within the same period of trial.
Does Jobelyn Contain Iron
Jobelyn contains large amounts of iron and as such it is used in the treatment of anemia. However, most of the excess iron from Jobelyn is chelated by the polyphenols in the sorghum extract and as a result the excess iron is not presented to the body.
Jobelyn And Malaria
There is no research on the effect of Jobelyn and malaria. However, personal review of how it prevents malaria. But no one claims it is used to treat malaria.
