Step Three: Upload Passport

It is time to upload passport size photograph. This is by far the best I have seen in terms of uploading passport online. The process was very easy and can be done with an Android phone. They require passport size that is 250×250 or 300×300 and must not be more than 100kb. After uploading the said passport, the page displays the size of the passport and allow for cropping of the image without losing quality. Each crop shows the new dimensions and data size. Was able to get mine to be exact 300×300 which is the best to increase the Image quality. The final data size was less than 100kb. Click on check. If the image is ok, it will load a page displaying all the demographic entered so far. You can go back to correct any details at this level. Click submit you are sure of your data submitted. A pop up window will display that you should be sure of your demographics before clicking ok because the details will no longer be editable if you proceed. Click ok if you are very certain. The page will automatically reboot to the home page.

Step Four: Print Examination Slip

Go to your email address. Remitta will send both the RRR receipt and other details. PCN will also send your demographics and a link to print your examination slip. Click on the link. It will bring out the slip which is to be printed out and taken to the examination centre on the examination day.
Note: In addition to the online registration, you are to get an examination manual from the PCN office. At the back of the manual, your preceptor will endorse it with his/her license number. But this is no longer necessary.

The examination consists of 200 multiple choice questions spanning across all the area of practice. Since most interns do not rotate around the areas of practice, it makes the examination a little bit tough. The examination use to be manual. The question paper is distributed with a computer sheet. The answers are submitted with the question paper. However, the last PEP was computer based test. You login and provide the answers. After rounding up, you click submit. The result will not take time before it will be released.
