Dequali Composition, Dose, Use, Side Effect
Dequadin was a popular sore throat lozenge in Nigeria. When it went out of the market, many users wanted an alternative. All other alternatives like Strepsil were not effective. To restore hope again, Tuyil Pharm. IND. Limited, Ilorin, Nigeria manufactured dequali. Dequali contains the same active ingredient and strength as dequadin.

Each Lozenge contains:
Dequalinium Chloride BP...0.25mg

Properties
Dequalini has an antiseptic effect against a wide range of bacteria such as gram positive and gram-negative bacteria, yeasts and fungi. It kills the microorganisms associated with various mild infections of the mouth and throat. It lubricates and soothes the painful area which helps relieve the soreness and discomfort of mouth and throat infections.
Indications Of Dequali
Dequalini is indicated for the treatment of mouth and throat infections. It may also be used for the prevention of infection after tooth extraction.
Contra-indication
It is contra-indicated in patients that are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients of this product.
Adverse Reaction
The adverse reaction is rare at recommended dose but patients that are hypersensitive to the active ingredient may experience necrosis, ulceration of the tongue at high dose.

Dosage Of Dequali
Adults and Children over 10 years: 1 lozenge should be sucked slowly 2-3 hours daily.
Do not take more than 8 lozenges in 24 hours.
Side Effect Of Dequali
The side effect is well tolerated and relatively safe at recommended doses.

Keep all medicines out of the reach of children. If symptoms persist, consult your medical doctor. Do not exceed the stated dose.
