No! But in Nigeria, you can apply for direct entry (DE) or start all over. After the 4 years Microbiology degree, you can get DE assuming you meet other requirements (o'level in one sitting with credit pass in English language, mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology). Some schools require examinations organized by the school. Those who pass the cut off mark will be admitted into year two.

You will find certain courses in medicine to be less challenging such as fundamental anatomy or physiology or Pharmacology since the microbiology degree should equip you with the knowledge in these areas. But other areas such as chemistry, medical practices, patient, etc will still require you to learn.

If this route is not feasible, then get a joint admission and matriculation board (JAMB) unitary tertiary education examination (UTME) form and write the examination. Those who pass the cut off mark will be eligible for the post UTME.

In the UK, you can study for a postgraduate medicine degree. Having done a 3 years microbiology degree, you will be able to do a Bachelor degree in Medicine for 4 years instead of the usual 5 years.
