Purified Honey BP 0.75 g, Glycerin BP 0.5 ml, Ipecacuanha Liquid Extract BP 0.015 ml, Terpeneless Lemon Oil BP 0.00025 ml.

Excipients

Sucrose BP 1.300 gm, Acid Citric Monohydrate BP 0.025 gm, Acid Acetic 80% 0.0375 ml, Caramel 0.028 ml, Acid Ascorbic BP 0.150 mg, Sodium Metabisulphite BP 0.005 gm, Acid Benzoic 0.010 gm, Acacia BP 0.010 gm, Tragacanth Powder BP0005 gm, Water Potable BP to 5.00 ml.

Special Warnings And Precautions

This medical product contains 52 g of sucrose. When taken according to the dosage recommendations each dose supplies up to 2.6 g. Unsuitable in hereditary fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome, or sucrase-isomaltase deficiency.

Dosage Of Ayrtons Beehive Balsam

Children:

One 5 ml spoonful - Two or three times a day

Adults:

Two 5 ml spoonfuls - Two or three times a day

A dose taken at bedtime will prove valuable.

Though the age for children was not stated, ayrtons beehive balsam should not be given to children below 2 years of age. This is because it contains ingredients such as honey.

Honey should never be given to children under 1 and it's not recommended for children under 2 years old. Honey contains toxic bacteria that may cause infant botulism, a serious form of food poisoning that can end in death. There is also a risk of pollen allergies developed from honey.
